OMS was commissioned by Pipeline Technique Ltd (PTL) and Heerema Marine Contractors to measure over 7,000 pipes during various mobilisations for the Ichthys project, which involved some of the largest offshore facilities to date. We also provided SmartFit™ pipe fit-up services, enabling our clients to complete pipeline construction with improved integrity and increased lifespan.

Project experience includes:

  • Pipe end measurement of 7,273 18” and 12” lined and clad pipes

  • Data capture and analysis

  • SmartFit™ - pipe fit-up services

  • Onshore testing at APCO coating yard providing before and after measurement and analysis of any OOR changes
