Lawe-Lawe, Indonesia

OMS provided onshore and offshore pipe measurement and fit-up services for c. 1,500 52” diameter pipes intended for the record-breaking Lawe Lawe project located offshore Indonesia. This pipeline is the largest offshore pipeline diameter installation in the world to date.

Contracted by welding giant, CRC Evans, OMS operators measured all pipe ends with our state-of-the-art Autotool, a laser measurement system that captures comprehensive data on pipe size and shape. Following measurement, our operators used our award-winning SmartFit system to provide information to our client that allowed them to achieve the best possible pipe fit-up, increasing efficiency during the welding stage and ensuring optimum pipeline integrity.

OMS offers agile solutions to challenging pipeline problems. During this project, we deployed both UK-based operators and local skilled operators, helping the project to proceed with maximum efficiency. If you have a challenging project, contact us to see how we could help.
