Nuclear pressure vessel inspection

Regular inspection of the pressure vessel’s bevel and weld is the best way to ensure its integrity and that stringent standards are met but this can only be performed rapidly, and in-situ, during scheduled outages. OMS provides a robotic inspection solution which uses laser sensors to measure the bevel in-situ and confirm quality. After the weld root pass, our remote IVT system can then scan the weld to confirm it meets criteria. Access can be achieved either via the manual lift or by attaching to the robotic arm. Bevel and weld quality are confirmed, leading to a safer and longer-lasting asset.
