Life at OMS

Our people are our most important asset and providing a great place for everyone to work is very important to us. As a growing business we are always looking for skilled, ambitious and collaborative people to join the team. If you think you would be a brilliant fit for OMS we would love to hear from you. Send your CV with a covering letter here.

Employee commitments

OMS offers a supportive, collaborative and flexible working environment. All employees get 25 days’ holiday per year, automatic enrolment onto our pension scheme, access to our profit-sharing bonus scheme and opportunities for further education.

Health and wellbeing

OMS organises an annual Chairman’s Run of 10k or 5k to raise funds for charity and promote exercise. We offer a well-equipped gym at our offices along with shower facilities for staff who cycle or run to work, or who exercise during the day.

Equal opportunities

OMS treats all its employees and job applicants equally. Nobody will receive less favourable treatment because of being a part-time worker, fixe-term employee, marital/civil partner status, pregnancy/maternity, actual or perceived race, sex, religion or belief, sexual orientation, gender reassignment, age or disability,

Flexible working

At OMS we want all our staff to feel they are achieving a great work/life balance. 10% of OMS staff are employed on a part-time basis and we offer everyone flexible hours so they can manage other commitments. We are fully equipped for home-working where possible and/or necessary.

“OMS offered me an interesting and fulfilling role with part-time hours, which allows me to work around family life with 3 young children.” Katherine Aiken, OMS marketing manager

Ethics and compliance

OMS always operates within the law of any country in which we are working. We have a robust ethics policy in place and expect our employees to behave in an ethical manner at all times.

Corporate social responsibility

OMS believes in giving back to the community. We run regular charity events, such as our annual Chairman’s Run, to raise money for different causes. Sadly Covid-19 meant we had to cancel our 2020 run but we have made a £5,000 donation to Macmillan Cancer Support, a fantastic charity which offers emotional, financial and physical support to people suffering from cancer and their families. Office culture

The OMS office is a lively and friendly place. In non-Covid times we run team outings, office barbecues and work lunches. Our office has comfortable break-out areas, a fully equipped kitchen and a table tennis table for anyone who wants a game.

Professional education

It is OMS policy to provide training and further educational opportunities where possible. We offer training in all necessary company systems and if employees are interested in further training to develop their skills and progress in their career they can discuss this with their line manager.
