Better post-weld coating and inspection
OMS is delighted to be working with a global leader in protective pipe coating technology. Working together, we have built a modular system which is deployed into pipes at the post-welding stage using OMS crawlers. Our state-of-the-art inspection technology examines the weld and tells the operator whether it is suitable for coating. If it is, our partner’s technology coats the weld and the system moves on to examine the next one.

SmartGrind™ - the next evolution
OMS is currently working on a SmartGrind™ component for our modular system. This component would be added to our modular system so that any welds found to be out-of-specification could be ground before being coated by our partner’s coating module.
