OMS installs defibrillator at UK offices

OMS has installed our first defibrillator at our facilities in Stansted, Essex, UK.

The defibrillator was provided by London Hearts, a leading UK charity that offers public access defibrillators at affordable prices. Their charitable aims are to raise awareness of heart conditions, to provide public access defibrillators in the UK and to ensure no-one is ever further than 100 metres away from a defibrillator.

OMS’s defibrillator has been added to ‘The Circuit’, the national defibrillator network that maps defibrillators across the UK, allowing ambulance services to locate the nearest one when a bystander calls 999.

Ellie Parnham, OMS HSE Manager, said, ‘Thousands of cardiac emergencies occur outside of hospitals in the UK every year. Rapid access to a defibrillator helps save lives and ours will help protect staff at our UK offices and other people nearby. We would like to thank London Hearts for their help and encourage other businesses to get involved with their project.’
