OMS is a proud sponsor of the LoSt cycling team who intend to cycle across Italy from Locorotondo to Saint Tropez - hence the name LoSt – a distance of 850 miles. An eclectic group of individuals, LoSt was brought together through the mutual friendship of Simon Sale who originally cycled the route for charity in 2012 and raised the amazing sum of £35k for WellChild!
The intrepid riders are as follows:
Simon Sale: Organiser and third best looking team member
James Sale: Proper cyclist bringing youth to the team - though not so young any more…
Rory Sale: At 17 years old Rory is definitely the youngest team member and faces his longest ride to date
Marc Davis: (threatens to be an) Ironman and jolly good fellow - training regime a bit suspect
Keith Gibson: Ironman and technical guru - happy to just be here to make up the numbers but can't hide his competitive nature
Giles Derry: Definitely the best looking member of the team and ardent non smoker; gains attention with incredible eyebrows that do not detract from his looks!
Colin Hawkins: Driver, chef and non-cycling team member plus a dab hand with a map
The adventure will begin on 10th June 2016 and is set to take place over 7 days. Again, the team rides in support of WellChild, who provide essential, practical and emotional support for seriously ill children, young people and those who care for them across the UK to ensure they receive the best possible quality of care.
Best of luck to the whole team from all at OMS!
