Range of laser measurement packages ideal for pipe mill clients. Pipe mills are provided with the data they need, including radial data, to ensure pipe quality, optimum fit-up and end client satisfaction. Various automated and manual options are available to suit client need - alongside this, we can work with clients’ existing data and systems to provide their ideal solution. Fully compatible with our award-winning SmartFit system for optimum pipe fit-up, these packages provide our clients with traceable, verified data in the most suitable format to reduce handling, improve pipe quality and meet specifications. Data supplied can resolve potential issues, provide an insurance check and help avoid any rejected pipe.

Service details

Pipe mill packages provide comprehensive data on pipe size and shape, measuring dimensions including inner and outer diameter, wall thickness, out-of-roundness, ovality and longitudinal wall thickness with our award-winning Autotool. The service identifies the widest possible range of issues that could cause pipe mills’ end client to reject pipe or problems with fit-up further down the line. Data can either be acquired manually and transferred to clients in raw format, or automatically through a seamless process, then transferred via FTP or other means to client servers or databases.
